At a press briefing held at the Uganda Media Centre on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, SP Michael Kananura, Community Liaison Officer and Public Relations Officer in the Directorate of Traffic and Road Safety, addressed key logistical preparations. “Heavy traffic is expected around Kampala, Entebbe, and all key match venues due to team movements, training sessions, and matches,” SP Kananura stated. He urged the public to plan their movements in advance and adhere to traffic directives to ensure smooth operations during the tournament.
Training Grounds for Participating Teams
To facilitate team preparations, five training grounds in Kampala have been designated:
1. Mandela National Stadium Annex (Namboole)
2. Mutesa II Wankulukuku Stadium
3. Kampala International School Uganda (KISU) Grounds (Bukoto)
4. FUFA Technical Centre (Kadiba, Mengo)
5. Kyambogo University Playground
These facilities will ensure teams have optimal training conditions ahead of their matches.
