Ibrahim Kirya returns to SC Villa as assistant coach for 2025/26 season

For the umpteenth time, Ibrahim Kirya is back at SC Villa, with the club officially unveiling their full technical staff for the 2025/26 season. The former Villa striker has been appointed assistant coach to Serbian head coach Kovacevic Zeljko, a role he has held multiple times in the past.
Full Technical Staff for 2025/26 Season:
– Head Coach: Kovacevic Zeljko (Serbia)
– Assistant Coaches: Ibrahim Kirya & Peter Onen
– Goalkeeping Coach: Sam Kawalya
– Fitness Coach: Ram Mpuuga
– Youth Coach: Hakim Ssenkumba
– Performance Analyst: Samuel Tusingwire
– Team Doctor: Syson Taremwa
– Physiotherapist: Thomas Orone
– Kits Manager: Fred Kalibbala (long-serving)
Kirya returns to Villa after stints with BUL FC, bringing valuable experience and familiarity with the club’s culture. Villa fans will be hoping that the new technical team, led by Zeljko, can restore their dominance in Ugandan football after a disappointing 2024/25 campaign, where they finished 6th in the Uganda Premier League with just 45 points.
With the 2025/26 season approaching, fans will be eager to see if this revamped coaching setup can bring back the glory days to SC Villa.
