During the three day meeting, Gen. Mbadi, who is leading Uganda’s delegation as Head of Delegation, will witness the physical signing of the Participation Contract by the Section Commissioner, David Katungi. On the sidelines of the meeting, the Ugandan delegation will also hold bilateral discussions with senior officials of the Government of Serbia, including the Serbian Minister for Trade, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Director for African Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Belgrade. The engagements are intended to strengthen cooperation between Uganda and Serbia and explore opportunities to deepen collaboration in trade, investment and economic development.

Uganda’s participation in Expo 2027 Belgrade reflects the country’s commitment to engaging with the global community through dialogue, innovation and partnership. The event will also provide an opportunity for Uganda to showcase its rich culture, youthful creativity, sporting talent and investment opportunities to the international community while contributing to global conversations around the Expo theme, “Play for Humanity: Sport and Music for All.”
