Dar es Salaam, Tanzania — Uganda Cranes captain Khalid Aucho has officially confirmed his departure from Tanzanian giants Young Africans SC (Yanga SC), bringing an end to a remarkable four-year chapter with the club.
The influential holding midfielder announced his exit on Wednesday via his social media platforms, accompanied by a heartfelt statement addressed to fans and the Yanga SC fraternity.
“Young Africans SC, my beloved family, I want to convey that my journey with the team has reached its conclusion; a chapter of my life that has been unforgettable. I am profoundly thankful.”
Aucho’s tenure at Yanga SC spanning from 2021 to 2025 was nothing short of iconic. He played a central role in one of the club’s most successful eras, solidifying his place as a fan favorite and a symbol of leadership on and off the pitch.
