Rugby Cranes final squad announced for Africa Cup

With less than a week until the Rugby Africa Cup, Uganda has unveiled its final squad for the tournament. Star back Philip Wokorach, who has been dominating the India Rugby Premier League, headlines the team.
Alex Aturinda, captain of the Uganda 7s side at the Africa Sevens, is also included, bringing crucial ball skills from the base of the scrum. New faces in the front row include Walukuba Barbarians hooker Edward Emiemu, Jinja Hippos prop Fahad Maido, and KOBs prop Blair Ayebazibwe, all of whom were on the fringes last year.

Uganda will open their campaign against arch-rivals Kenya in the quarterfinals on Tuesday, August 8, with a kickoff at 4:00 p.m. EAT at the Mandela National Stadium’s annex pitch.
