Rt. Rev. Enos Kitto Kagodo Spearheads Fundraising Campaign for Mukono Diocese Cathedral

The Rt. Rev. Enos Kitto Kagodo, 5th Bishop of Mukono Diocese, has launched a major fundraising initiative to support the construction of the diocese’s new cathedral.

During a recent visit to the Vision Group headquarters in Industrial Area, Bishop Kagodo outlined plans for an upcoming marathon aimed at raising funds for the project.

As part of the fundraising efforts, Mukono Diocese is organizing a marathon where participants and well-wishers can contribute towards completing the cathedral. Bishop Kagodo has called upon individuals, organizations, and philanthropists across the country to support this noble cause.

“We are mobilizing resources to ensure the timely completion of our cathedral, which will serve as a spiritual and community hub for the faithful in Mukono and beyond,” he said.

In addition to the marathon, the diocese will host a free medical camp on the same day, offering health check-ups and basic medical services to all attendees. This initiative aims to promote wellness while encouraging participation in the fundraising event.

Organizers anticipate over 1,000 participants will join the marathon, which will feature various categories, including competitive races and fun runs. The event is expected to draw support from church members, local leaders, and the general public.

Well-wishers who wish to contribute can do so through designated diocesan accounts or by participating in the marathon.

Further details on registration and donation channels will be announced soon. Bishop Kagodo expressed optimism that with collective effort, the cathedral project will be completed, strengthening the diocese’s mission and outreach.
