The Uganda All-Stars XVs team has officially been named, featuring a dynamic mix of seasoned veterans, exciting young prospects, and standout talents ready to light up the pitch. Rugby stalwarts Asuman Mugerwa, Mike Otto, and Charles Uhuru return to the fray with a point to prove, while Uganda Sevens stars Andrew Odhiambo, Allan Olango, and Norbert Okeny are out to demonstrate their skills translate to the XVs format.
Emerging talents like Sylvester Munguachel, Ethan Mugabi, and Jeremiah Okello mark a significant milestone in their careers, joining experienced campaigners like Stephen ‘Buju’ Alul and Ivan Kirabo. The squad also boasts exciting, lesser-known talents such as Bave Okumu, Bob Kawanda, and Denis Ofoyrwoth, promising unpredictability and excitement for fans.
The halfback combination of Alul and William Nkore is a key strength, with their chemistry central to the Black Pirates’ recent success in the Uganda Rugby Championship. Adding depth and experience are Collins Kimbowa, Brian Wandera, and Pius Ogena, fresh from duty at the Rugby Africa Cup.
