Global running stars descend on Uganda for 2025 Tusker Lite Mt Rwenzori marathon

International athletes and influencers are gearing up for the epic race amid breathtaking Rwenzori scenery. The 2025 Tusker Lite Mt Rwenzori Marathon, set for Saturday, August 23, in Kasese, has attracted a diverse lineup of participants, including 14 runners from the UK, 13 from the USA, 3 from the UAE, 13 from South Africa, and 1 from Namibia. Each delegation includes a filming crew, capturing not only the marathon but also Uganda’s stunning tourism sites for their global audiences.

Sipho Marima Makes His Ugandan Debut: Celebrated South African endurance athlete, coach, and content creator Sipho Marima will participate in the marathon, exploring Uganda’s unique terrain and culture.
