Finance Trust Bank FUFA Women Super League 2025/26 unveiled with increased sponsorship
The 2025/26 Finance Trust Bank FUFA Women Super League has officially been launched at the sponsors’ head office in Kampala, attended by coaches from various clubs. The ceremony was presided over by FUFA Competitions Director, Hajat Aisha Nalule, who reaffirmed that the federation is fully prepared to kick off the new season with all requirements in place.
League sponsors, Finance Trust Bank, represented by Marketing and Corporate Affairs Manager Paul Percy Lubega, emphasized their continued commitment to the growth of women’s football.
“This season, the sponsorship package has been boosted by UGX 150 million, adding to the UGX 2.2 billion already invested,” Lubega stated.
Among the new initiatives this year is a monthly reward scheme for journalists who make significant contributions to the league’s visibility and development through impactful coverage.
The new season will officially kick off on Friday, 3rd October 2025, with six fixtures scheduled for Match Day One. The opening game will see Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC host Kampala Queens FC at Kawempe Muslim Ground on Friday morning.
Speaking ahead of the opener, Kampala Queens’ representative Kizza noted;
“As Kampala Queens, we garnered a lot of experience from the CAF Champions League, and we are ready to apply all that during this season.”
