Dax Vibez bounces back: New Date and Venue announced for maiden concert

What started as a crushing disappointment for Afro-reggae star Dax Vibez has now turned into a powerful comeback story.

After months of anticipation and nearly a year of planning, Dax Vibez, real name Ivan Bugembe Sentamu, was forced to cancel his debut concert under heartbreaking circumstances.

But the young artist has refused to let that moment define him. Now, he’s bouncing back stronger than ever.

“Same date. Better location. First All-White concert. Come, let’s party on 29th August, UMA Show Grounds,” Dax shared with fans in a heartfelt post.

From setback to celebration

The original concert, which Dax had been promoting for close to nine months, was supposed to mark a major milestone in his career.

Set to take place at Hotel Africana, the show had all the makings of a breakthrough event.

Dax had personally inspected the venue multiple times, tweaking logistics and getting everything ready.

Behind the scenes, he had received the green light from the hotel’s management, both verbal confirmations and reassurance from Ali, the son of the late businessman Bulaimu Muwanga Kibirige (BMK), whose family is linked to the venue. Everything seemed to be falling into place.

Then came the whispers.

Two weeks before the official cancellation, Dax began hearing rumors that he was considered “unqualified” to host such an event. The information, shockingly, came not from the venue directly but through a WhatsApp message.

The final blow was delivered in person. The hotel’s management informed Dax that, despite prior agreements, a decision had been made not to have him host his maiden concert at the venue.

Just like that, months of planning dissolved in a matter of minutes.

Turning pain into purpose

For Dax, it wasn’t just a professional setback—it was personal.

“I poured everything into this show,” he said privately to friends. “I wanted to give people an experience they’d never forget. That dream hasn’t changed.”

And now, it’s back on.

The new show will take place on August 29, 2025, at the spacious and concert-ready UMA Show Grounds in Kampala. Even more exciting? It’s being rebranded as the “First All-White Concert,” inviting fans to dress in white and come together for a night of music, unity, and new beginnings.

The announcement has sparked a wave of support online. Many fans say they’re relieved the event is back on, and some believe this new venue is an upgrade.

What’s next?

Organizers will announce ticketing details, performer lineups, and event guidelines in the coming weeks. Fans who supported the original event are encouraged to stay connected through Dax’s official social platforms for priority access.”
