BUL FC sign teenage striker Simon Achidi on three-year deal

Uganda Premier League side BUL FC have confirmed the signing of teenage striker Simon Achidi on a three-year contract.

The 19-year-old, a student at Jinja Progressive Academy (JIPRA), was officially unveiled by the Eastern Giants on Monday, becoming their fourth signing of the transfer window.

“BUL FC is pleased to announce the signing of youthful forward Simon Achidi on a three-year contract,” the club confirmed in a statement.

Achidi has impressed with his performances at JIPRA, a school that also serves as a feeder team for BUL FC. Over the years, the academy has produced several first-team players, including Richard Okello, Swabir Mpasa, and Shafik Nana Kwikiriza.

Head coach Abbey Kikomeko expressed confidence in Achidi’s potential to thrive at the top level:

“Achidi is a young, promising, and talented player. Our main goal is to develop younger players, and he joins a number of them from Jinja Progressive Academy, our main feeder school. I believe his character and attitude suit well in our team.”

Achidi joins Cameroonian defender Kelvin Tah, goalkeeper Farouk Yawe, and forward Lawrence Kambugu as BUL FC’s latest signings of the window.
